Will a person be punished for a sin in which he had no involvement, such as a father rejecting a financially suitable husband, despite the wife's happiness with her current husband?

Guardians should offer their daughters in marriage to a man of religious commitment and good character. A guardian's refusal of a religiously committed man and acceptance of another who is financially better off is not a sin, as long as the latter is suitable, and the girl is not held accountable for this. We advise the sister to be content with what Allah has chosen for her and to try to adapt to her husband.
