Among the prohibitions of Ihram, some are common to both men and women, such as using perfume, removing hair and nails, sexual intercourse and its preludes, contracting marriage, and hunting land game. Others are specific to men, such as wearing tailored garments that fit the limbs, and some are specific to women, such as covering the face if they are not mixing with foreign men, and wearing gloves.
