What is a "stone" linguistically and terminologically?

Linguistically, "Hajr" (interdiction) means prevention. Islamically, it refers to preventing someone from financial transactions. It is of two types:

1. Legislated for the benefit of others, such as interdiction upon the bankrupt, the mortgagor, the slave, and the mukātib (a slave who has a contract of manumission for a sum of money).

2. Legislated for the benefit of the interdicted person, such as interdiction upon the insane, the minor, and the profligate.
