Does a woman have the right to request a separate home near her family when her husband marries another, and is it permissible for her family to intervene to prevent her from living with her husband if she does not consent to the second marriage?

Polygyny is permissible in Islamic law for one who is able and can be just. A Muslim must believe in the rulings ordained by Allah. The husband must provide a suitable dwelling for his wife according to her circumstances and his financial ability. The wife does not have the right to stipulate a dwelling close to her family, nor do her family have the right to incite her to disobey her husband. If disputes persist due to the insistence of the wife and her family on rejecting polygyny, and this would negatively affect the family and children, then it is better to forgo the second marriage to preserve the stability of the home and the wife's affection.
