What is the ruling of the Shari'ah concerning a girl who willingly committed fornication anally while she is still a virgin, and she wishes to atone for her sin by having the Hadd (prescribed punishment) carried out upon her? Will her repentance be accepted, and is it obligatory for her to inform her suitor of her deed?

The girl must repent and turn to Allah by abandoning the sin, regretting it, and resolving not to return to it, while concealing herself and not publicizing the sin. It is not a condition of repentance to confess the disobedience to the ruler. Rather, if a Muslim commits an indecency and the matter has not reached the ruler, he must conceal himself and strive to achieve repentance, as the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever commits any of these abominations, let him conceal himself with the concealment of Allah." She is not obliged to inform the suitor of her past disobedience; rather, it is her duty to conceal herself.
