What is the ruling on a husband cursing his wife's religion during Hajj, using the phrase "may your religion be cursed"?

Reviling the religion is an act of disbelief that expels one from the fold of Islam by consensus. Attributing "religion" to a woman whose religion is known to be Islam does not affect this. You must, therefore, offer sincere repentance for this grave and dangerous statement, concerning which the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, a man may utter a word that incurs the wrath of Allah the Almighty, not caring about it, and fall into Hellfire because of it." He also said: "Indeed, a man may utter a word that incurs the wrath of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, not thinking that it would reach what it reached, yet Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, records His wrath upon him for it until the Day of Resurrection." The ruling of apostasy invalidates the Hajj according to the majority of scholars. If you repent, renew your Islam, and enter into a new state of ihram, then your Hajj is valid. However, if you completed your Hajj based on the previous ihram, then the Hajj is invalid due to the nullification of the ihram. If it was the Hajj of Islam (the obligatory Hajj), then you must perform Hajj again. If it was a voluntary Hajj, then you are not required to make it up.
