What is the ruling of Islamic law regarding a father's treatment of his daughter with beating and abuse, despite her suffering in her previous marriage?

The woman's guardian must fear Allah regarding the one he marries her to. He should not marry her to someone whose character is bad or whose religious commitment is weak, for Allah will question every guardian about what He entrusted to him. We advise the sister to be patient and seek reward from Allah, to supplicate frequently, and to try to convince her mother of the husband's injustice. If she does not succeed, she should seek help from her paternal uncles or through the mediation of righteous sisters to find a righteous husband.
