A wife is not obligated to work outside the home. The preponderant opinion is that her work is within the home. She is entitled to maintenance and independent housing, and she cannot be forced to live with the husband's relatives.

The husband must be kind to his wife and not burden her with what she cannot bear. He should advise and guide her. One should not consider divorce for such a matter. If she becomes rebellious after her rights have been fulfilled, then she should be treated as a rebellious wife.
