Is the coffee tree (al-bunn) or the بان tree (al-bān) forbidden because it is used in sorcery or because it belongs to the jinn and not to humans?

The coffee and frankincense trees are permissible (halal), and it is lawful to benefit from them. Their use is not prohibited unless they are used in what Allah has forbidden, such as magic. It is permissible for a Muslim to cultivate and use them for lawful purposes. However, it is not permissible to use or sell them to someone who is known or strongly believed to use them for evil, just as it is forbidden to sell grapes to someone who will press them into wine.
