How sound is the dislike of cauterization despite the lack of evidence for it, and the confirmation by experience of its benefit for patients?

Cauterization is a type of treatment that is beneficial, by Allah's permission, if illness strikes. However, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, disliked it and forbade his Ummah from it due to its gruesomeness and its resemblance to torture by fire. The Prophet mentioned that healing is in three things: "a drink of honey, a cupper's incision, and a cauterization by fire, but I forbid my Ummah from cauterization." He also said: "If there is any good in your medicines, or there would be good in any of your medicines, it is in a cupper's incision, or a drink of honey, or a cauterization by fire, that matches the ailment, but I do not like to be cauterized."
