What is the meaning of the vocabulary in the saying of Ibn Abbas -may Allah be pleased with them both-: "Ten characteristics from the deeds of the people of Lot: hair styling, unbuttoning shirts, throwing pellets, flicking pebbles, playing with flying pigeons, whistling with fingers, cracking knuckles, dragging the garment, unbuttoning tunics, habitually drinking wine, and engaging in sodomy with males, and this Ummah will add to it lesbianism among women"?

It is noted that Sheikh Al-Albani judged the aforementioned hadith to be fabricated (mawdu'), and he included it in Silsilah al-Da'ifah with the wording: "Ten characteristics did the people of Lut commit, by which they were destroyed, and my nation will add one more characteristic: men coming to men, and their shooting with jalaahiq (pellets) and throwing stones, and their playing with pigeons, and beating drums, and drinking intoxicants, and trimming the beard, and lengthening the mustache, and whistling, and wearing silk. And my nation will add one more characteristic: women coming to women." One of its narrators was described as "a liar."

It is advised not to include this hadith in sermons, and if the preacher wishes to include it, he must clarify its weakness and fabrication. As for its explanation, Al-Manawi mentioned in Fayd al-Qadir that "ten characteristics did the people of Lut commit, by which they were destroyed" and that "my nation will add one more characteristic," meaning they will do them and add one more characteristic. What Al-Bayhaqi and others brought forth is problematic, namely their statement that the judgment was only applicable to the people of Lut when women became self-sufficient with women and men with men.
