Is it permissible to postpone Hajj until next year because its timing conflicts with a medical internship period that may not be repeated?

The internship program in a hospital is a necessary training for a fresh graduate doctor to acquire the experience needed for employment. This is considered one of the essential needs that permit postponing Hajj due to lack of ability, if this period cannot be compensated or a leave of absence cannot be taken during it. Some scholars are of the opinion that Hajj is obligatory immediately, and it is not permissible to delay it except for a legitimate excuse. It is permissible to delay it until the following year if it affects exams, with the note that it is possible to perform Hajj in a few days that do not affect studies for those who are keen to do so.
