Are the divine commands in the noble verse, regarding benevolence towards parents, restricted to their old age and infirmity, or do they include all stages of their lives?

Filial piety and kindness to parents are obligatory at all stages of their lives and in all their circumstances, and are not specific to a particular stage. Allah Almighty specifically mentioned old age because some children shirk their duties towards their parents at this stage. And showing piety to an elderly parent is greater in reward, due to their need for more care and effort, and because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "May his nose be rubbed in dust, a man whose parents, or one of them, reached old age in his presence, and he did not enter Paradise."
