What is the ruling on reading supplications in some of the books of supplications circulated in Islamic libraries, in which each verse is arranged from several Quranic excerpts, such as: (And We raised high for you your renown, and I cast upon you love from Me, Indeed, I have chosen you over mankind with My messages and with My words, Indeed, I will make you a leader for the people, Indeed, We have granted you a clear conquest)? Is it permissible to read them, or is it considered a distortion of the Qur'an?

It is permissible to recite scattered verses for Ruqyah (exorcism/healing), protection, and seeking guidance, such as Ayat al-Kursy, the last two verses of Surat al-Baqarah, and the two Mu'awwidhatayn (Surat al-Falaq and Surat an-Nas). This indicates the permissibility of printing books that compile these verses. However, there must be a clear separation between them to indicate that they do not form a single, authored sequence, lest the reader assume they are verses from a single Surah. Qadi Abu Bakr transmitted the consensus that it is impermissible to recite one verse from each Surah. The compilation of the Book of Allah was received by the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, from Gabriel, and Allah's compilation is better than human compilation.
