Is it permissible for an educated person to complete a reading of the Qur’an on behalf of someone who is not proficient in reading?

The fundamental principle is that the recitation of the Qur'an should be done under the guidance of a skilled reciter, enabling him to clarify rulings such as tafkhim (emphasis) and tarqiq (lightness). One who lacks something cannot give it, and a teacher might transmit his errors to the learner. However, if the intention behind the khatm (completion of recitation) is to revise and solidify memorization, then there is no objection to that. In such a case, one can benefit from someone who is not proficient or does not memorize if they are looking at the Mushaf and listening to the reciter.
