We advise you to seek Allah Almighty's help, to continually supplicate and beseech Him, and to strive against your ego by opposing its desires and performing acts of obedience. Reflect on death and what comes after it, frequently recite the Quran with contemplation, occupy yourself with beneficial words and deeds, listen to lectures, read useful books, seek out righteous company, and remind yourself of the ugliness of sins and the danger of their consequences.
