Which hair should be shaved, and what should one who cannot shave their pubic and anal hair by themselves do?

Shaving the pubic hair is a Sunnah. It is also recommended to shave the hair around the anus for cleanliness and ease of purification (istinja). It is disliked to leave pubic hair and armpit hair for more than forty days, due to the prohibition of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, regarding that. If a person is unable to shave their pubic hair themselves, it is permissible for them to seek assistance from their wife, or from someone else in her absence, due to compelling necessity.
