The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was washed while clothed by Al-Abbas, Ali, Al-Fadl, Qutham the two sons of Al-Abbas, Shuqran the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah, Usama ibn Zayd, and Aws ibn Khawli. He was buried in the chamber where he passed away, and Ali ibn Abi Talib, Al-Fadl ibn Al-Abbas, his brother Qutham, Shuqran the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah, and Aws ibn Khawli participated in his burial. As for Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, may Allah be pleased with him, he did not participate in the preparation of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Rather, it is confirmed that he uncovered the face of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, after his death to confirm it, then he went out to announce the news of the death to the people.
