The relationship between an employee and an employer is based on their agreement regarding the duration, nature, and wages of the work, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Muslims are bound by their conditions." If the employee falls short in attendance, departure, or performance of work, the employer is permitted to reduce their wages proportionally to their shortcomings, as determined by experts. The rise or fall of prices is not considered to affect the pre-agreed wage, but the employer may voluntarily give the employee something as a bonus or to compensate for the high cost of living.
