Is it forbidden for men to comb their hair daily?

It is recommended to comb, oil, adorn, and clean the hair, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Whoever has hair, let him honor it." The Prophet (peace be upon him) forbade grooming daily, except occasionally, meaning to care for the hair every other day, not every day. Grooming refers to combing, cleaning, and beautifying the hair. This indicates the dislike of engaging in daily grooming, as it is a form of indulgence. Therefore, the correct understanding is that there is no contradiction between the two hadiths. A Muslim is commanded to honor his hair, but without exaggeration or excessive luxury. The Prophet (peace be upon him) saw a man with disheveled hair and said: "Does this one not find something to calm his hair with?" Thus, men are required to comb their hair, but are prohibited from excessive attention to it.
