Why does God not answer my prayers, and is my not conceiving until now proof of God's wrath upon me?

If the delay in pregnancy is not within your control, then do not blame yourself, for it may be for purposes known only to Allah. Refer to His saying, the Almighty: "And perhaps you dislike a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah knows, while you know not." Increase in supplication and ask for offspring without hastening the answer. You may consult doctors. If the delay in pregnancy is due to contraceptives, then it is not permissible except with the husband's permission and the existence of a need, such as illness, provided that the prevention is not permanent, and that the method used is permissible and does not result in harm. If these conditions are not met, then one must abandon contraception and increase in repentance and seeking forgiveness.
