What are the proofs and evidence in Islamic Law for the concept of removing hardship?

Allah has removed hardship from the Islamic nation, for He has only burdened it with what it can bear. The religion is ease, not difficulty, as indicated by scriptural texts such as His, the Almighty's, saying: "Allah does not burden a soul beyond its capacity" and "and He has not placed upon you in religion any difficulty." Ease is manifested in dispensations and relaxations, such as shortening prayers for the traveler and the sick person praying while sitting or on their side, and the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "I was sent with the lenient monotheistic religion." The religion is considered easy compared to previous religions which contained burdens, such as the repentance of previous nations which involved killing themselves, whereas the repentance of this nation is through regret and cessation of sin. Scholars have unanimously agreed that the Lawgiver did not intend burdensome obligations, but rather intended gentleness and ease.
