Are any of the narrations concerning the shackling of the defiant devils among those in chains authentic?

It has been authentically narrated from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that devils are shackled and chained in Ramadan, as reported in Bukhari and Muslim from Abu Hurairah: "When Ramadan begins, the gates of Paradise are opened, the gates of Hell are closed, and the devils are chained." In a narration by Muslim: "And the devils are shackled."

There are other narrations indicating that those who are shackled are the "rebellious jinn" (maradat al-jinn). This was preferred by Ibn Khuzaymah and Ibn Hibban, but Imam al-Bukhari weakened this narration and preferred that the correct (view) is what came with the general wording.

Although some narrations restrict the devils to the "rebellious jinn," the chains of transmission for some of them are weak, and scholars have differed on the authenticity of their connection. The preferred view is the general application, as in the narration from the Two Sahihs, meaning that all devils are shackled without restriction.
