What is the ruling on the Farewell Tawaf, and what is required of someone who stayed in Mecca for 15 hours after the Tawaf, awaiting a travel bus, and did not repeat the Tawaf?

If staying in Mecca after the Farewell Circumambulation (Tawaf al-Wada’) is due to waiting for companions or repairing a car, with the intention of traveling soon, then the circumambulation is valid and does not need to be repeated. It was narrated from Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, that the Prophet commanded that the last thing people do before leaving the House (Kaaba) is circumambulation. Therefore, the stay that necessitates repeating the circumambulation is one undertaken with the intention of remaining, not for a necessity related to travel.
