We know that there are wives in Paradise, but will there be pregnancy and childbirth in it?

Scholars have differed on the issue of having children in Paradise, with two main opinions:

1. The First Opinion: It is permissible for a believer to be granted offspring in Paradise if he desires it. They cite the Hadith of Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri, in which the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The believer, when he desires a child in Paradise, its conception, birth, and age will be in one hour, as he desires." Al-Albani authenticated this Hadith.

2. The Second Opinion: There will be no procreation in Paradise. This is narrated from Tawus, Mujahid, and Ibrahim An-Nakha'i. They cite the Hadith of Abu Razin Al-'Uqaili from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Indeed, the people of Paradise will not have children therein." Al-Bukhari alluded to this Hadith, and Ibn Al-Qayyim mentioned that "it possesses such majesty, awe, and the light of prophethood that proclaims its authenticity," while Al-Albani and Shu'ayb Al-Arna'ut deemed it weak.

Imam Ishaq ibn Rahawayh responded to the Hadith of Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri by stating that the Prophet's saying, "If the believer desires..." is merely hypothetical and conditional, and that "he will not desire it."

Ibn Al-Qayyim mentioned several reasons for preferring the view that there will be no procreation in Paradise, among them: the Hadith of Abu Razin, and that the spouses of Paradise are "purified" from menstruation, postpartum bleeding, semen, and offspring, and that pregnancy and childbirth are linked to menstruation and semen, and that Paradise is a abode of permanence and eternity with no death, and that Allah Almighty mentioned the joining of offspring who were in this world but did not mention offspring originating in Paradise.
