The expiation for neglecting to make up for missed days of Ramadan is to feed one poor person a "mudd" of wheat for each day, in addition to the obligation of making up the fast. A "mudd" is approximately 750 grams. It is permissible to place the expiation in a charity box if those in charge of it deliver it to the poor, and it must be clearly stated that it is an expiation. It is permissible to give five expiations to one person if they are for five days from five different years. However, if they are from the same year, it is not permissible to give two "mudds" to the same poor person.
