What is the stance, and how does one defend the Prophet, peace be upon him, against Western mockery of him?

Mocking the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, offends every Muslim, yet it is a sign of the mockers' doom and the imminent demise of their state. It also reveals the hatred and animosity towards Islam that their hearts harbor.

The reasons for these provocations stem from the Prophet, peace be upon him, calling for monotheism, exalting Allah Almighty, advocating noble morals, and his prophethood, which is supported by undeniable proofs such as the splitting of the moon, water gushing from between his fingers, and the preservation of the Holy Quran.

Many Western thinkers, such as Michael Hart, Bernard Shaw, Annie Besant, the Austrian Schabracq, Samuel Zwemer, Thomas Carlyle, and Goethe, have affirmed the greatness of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, and his positive influence on history.

Furthermore, these incidents reveal several interests: exposing Western hypocrisy in its standards, demonstrating the falsity of "dialogue of civilizations" claims, uniting Muslim ranks, rekindling the flame of faith in their hearts, and highlighting the effectiveness of economic boycott.

As for our role as Muslims, it involves: strong condemnation, demanding apologies from the mockers and punishment for the criminals, demanding that their governments cease their hostility towards Islam, translating books introducing Islam and its Prophet, confronting these vicious campaigns, adhering to the Sunnah, and inviting these people to Islam out of mercy for them.
