It is permissible to take from the thick or long eyebrow hair if it disfigures one's appearance and harms the individual, to the extent that removes the disfigurement and harm. The ruling on thinning the eyebrow by trimming differs from plucking, as scholars have differed on whether shaving and trimming fall under the meaning of an-Nams (plucking) which is prohibited.
