What is the religious ruling on striking the "ṭāsa" and "barʿ" at weddings?

What is known as "Darb al-Tasa" and "Al-Baraa" is an gathering of men who jump with daggers and the like, accompanied by musical instruments such as drums and others. This is not permissible because it involves the use of musical instruments (ma'azif) and drums, both of which are forbidden. The general rule for musical instruments is prohibition, except for the daff (tambourine). As for men dancing, it is disliked because it is a custom of women. However, playing with weapons like swords, if free from drums and dancing, is permissible.
