Should one abandon studying aeronautical engineering abroad and enroll in the Islamic University of Madinah, fearing shortcomings in acts of worship?

Your studies at the Islamic University and your proximity to your family are better for your religion. Although specializations like aircraft technology are important, preserving one's religion takes precedence. Residence in non-Muslim lands is fundamentally prohibited, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "I am innocent of any Muslim who resides among polytheists." A Muslim is not permitted to reside there except out of necessity or for a benefit, such as medical treatment, dawah (inviting to Islam), or acquiring knowledge that cannot be obtained in Muslim lands, provided one safeguards oneself with knowledge and chastity. The stay of a young man at the prime of his life in those lands is a great trial. If it is possible to study this specialization in a Muslim country, then do so. Otherwise, enroll in the Islamic University to safeguard yourself and your religion.
