Does the belief of one who seeks help from other than Allah in worldly matters, such as a woman seeking help from Al-Mu'tasim Billah, or seeking help from an official or ruler, become corrupted?

Is there a sin for which God does not forgive its doer for a long time or ever, no matter what he does, and how does a servant know God's pleasure or wrath?
