And what should the husband do regarding his mother-in-law who insulted his mother, and how can he reclaim his mother's right?
Can Allah punish me in my work or make me unhappy in my life due to intense anger and feeling that Allah is displeased with me, and due to my occasional disbelief, and attributing misfortunes and illnesses to Allah, despite my suffering from obsessive-compulsive disorder? And what are the best supplications or Quranic verses to attract provision (such as Surat Al-Waqi'ah)?
Is it permissible to supplicate for someone's guidance and rectification of their state, even if achieving that seems almost impossible, and to seek forgiveness for them with the intention that Allah may bring them closer and guide them and soften their heart? And do the angels say to the one supplicating: "And to you the like of it"? Is merely supplicating, seeking forgiveness, and saying "There is no might or power except with Allah" sufficient to change something in the absence of apparent means, or should supplication cease? And do seeking forgiveness and frequently saying "There is no might or power except with Allah" solve difficult problems without a specific supplication? And is the thought that supplication can improve the condition of a person who prays but is irregular, smokes, and is surrounded by an unwholesome environment, correct?
Is a patient with schizophrenia allowed not to speak to her mother and to avoid discussion with her, and will her mother's supplication against her be answered despite her mother's ill-treatment of her and her preference for the brother who mistreats her?
